This printable complaint letter takes umbrage with the amount of shrubbery from someone's yard blocking the sidewalk.

I live around the corner on Maple Street and I wanted to drop you a note before making a formal complaint to the city's Code Enforcement office.
Perhaps you're not aware of the degree to which the overgrown rosemary bush at the edge of your lawn impedes passersby. The branches extend into the right-of-way to the point that anyone pushing a stroller or using a wheelchair must leave the sidewalk and go around by way of the street to pass your house. This is not OK.
I'd be happy to come down with my hedge trimmers and give you a hand if time or mobility are an issue. Please get back to me within a week at 555-5555.
