When parking restrictions are unclear or invisible and result in a fine, this complaint letter to the city can be used.
Dear ___________,
Enclosed please find my check for $300. I'm deeply disappointed that the matter of my parking ticket could not be resolved. (My appeal No. 12345 was denied.) It was the only down point of my first visit to your fine city.
I would like to urge your department to install clearer signage at the Harbor location. I witnessed nothing indicating that I was parking in a manner that would impede public transit. Perhaps locals know where the bus zones are, but I do not. I had no idea what the curb marking indicated; a sign would have helped.
I hope that next time I visit your city, the parking restrictions will be clearer.
Sincerely,
