The Homeowners Association needs help prioritizing and is told as much in this complaint letter response from a family who is having an emergency and cannot get around to trimming their yard.
Dear ____________________,
I received your letter regarding the height of my grass exceeding the limit laid out in the HOA Community Rules and Regulations.
Perhaps you are unaware that our family has been upended due to a recent medical diagnosis. We have been back and forth to the hospital with barely enough time to eat and change clothes, let alone tend to the lawn.
I would like to ask for patience and compassion, along with waiving of the $50 fine that you mentioned. We will be out of town at the Big City Hospital for another week and will not be able to mow the lawn by the deadline.
If anyone from your board would like to drop by and care for the grass, we would certainly welcome the assistance. Our priorities are currently elsewhere.
