A frequent flyer asks to have expired miles reinstated when no viable options have been presented for redemption of points.
Dear ____________________,
I'm writing to request that my Rewards Points that expired Jan. 31 be restored or that I be otherwise compensated. I had earned 520 Points over the course of the year and, knowing of your company's new expiration policy, had been constantly checking to see when new items might be available for redemption. Unfortunately, during the months of November and December, the only item available in my Points range was a bacon fryer. I am a vegetarian and have no one to whom I'd like to gift such an item. So my Points expired, unused.
I am disappointed that I was given no acceptable option to redeem the Points that I had earned. Please consider restoring my Points, extending the expiration date, and improving the offerings in your Rewards Program.
